“Gene” Armon Eugene Neal

“Gene” Armon Eugene Neal died Friday, March 3, 2017 at Merit Health River Region. He was 65.

Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late James Armon Neal and Willie Mae Carlisle Neal. He was a graduate of Cooper High School.

Gene retired in 2014 from Entergy. He enjoyed cooking, bass fishing and music. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Gene was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janet W. Neal; two daughters, Kim Jabour (David) and Angela Vaughan (Greg); four grandchildren, Jacob Vaughan, Andrew Vaughan, Sarah Grace Jabour and Matthew Jabour, all of Vicksburg.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Gail Neal; his son, Eric Neal; and brother, Melvin Pugh.

Services will be noon, Monday, March 6, 2017, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Abel and the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers are Jacob Vaughan, Andrew Vaughan, Clem Griffin, Tim Wright, Keith Brumfield, and Jamie Jabour. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Howard and the men of Grace Baptist Church.

Memorials are to charities of choice.
