BAY ST. LOUIS — Riley Watson Sr. passed away in his home Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017. He was 80.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Watson, the Rev. Harry P. Foster Sr. and Aretha Davis Foster; four sisters, Deloris F. Johnson, Arleen F. Sims, Earnestine F. Bass and Gwinetta F. Brooks; three brothers, the Rev. Thomas E. Foster Sr., Harry P. Foster Jr. and Archie L. Foster; two sons, Craig 0. Watson and Willie Watson.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Geraldine Watson of Bay St. Louis; two sons, Riley Watson Jr. and Lorenzo Watson, both of Dallas; three daughters, Marie Regan, Gloria Ann Young and Mary Ann Watson, all of Dallas; one stepdaughter, Marsha Christmas of Bay St. Louis; three stepsons, Buford Christmas of Las Vegas, Gerald Christmas and Stanley Christmas, both of Bay St. Louis; four brothers, Robert Foster of Oakland, Calif., James Foster, Reuben (Josephine) Foster and Odell Foster, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Aretha (Wade) Gaskin, Irene D. Foster and Betty F. (Charles) Pendleton, all of Vicksburg; two brother-n-laws, John Brooks of Berkeley, Calif. and Gregory (Nina) Sellers of Clarksville, Tenn.; three sister-n-laws, Rosie Lee Foster, Eugenia Murphy, and Linda J. Foster, all of Vicksburg; 29 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Services will be Saturday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 407 Sycamore St., in Bay St. Louis with pastor Roderick De Flanders officiating.
Burial will follow at Garden Memories Cemetery in Bay St. Louis with Brown’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
