Three injured in wreck

Three people were injured when a Toyota tundra pickup and Nissan Altima collided head-on Sunday night on Mississippi 465. Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Eric Henry said the wreck occurred about 6:30 p.m. when the southeast-bound Tundra and the northwest-bound Altima collided in the road. The driver of the Tundra was taken by ambulance to Merit Health River Region, while one of the occupants of the Altima was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center from the scene of the wreck. Another occupant in the car was taken by ambulance to River Region and later flown to UMMC. The identities of the victims and their conditions were unavailable. The wreck remains under investigation.
