Funeral services for Ruby L. Gaines will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Ruby passed away Monday, March 6, in her home surrounded by family and friends following a brief illness.  She was 80.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac Gaines and L. T. Murray; her son, Walter Gaines; and her brother, Louis Gaines.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Gaines and Michael Gaines, both of Vicksburg; her two daughters, Geraldine Eatman and Yvonne Dollison, both of Vicksburg; her two sisters, Emma Scott and Mosie Lee Jones, both of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
