Robert E. Stewart, Sr.

Robert E. Stewart Sr. died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Merit Health River Region. He was 86.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Stewart; daughter, Karen Donald; and sister, Margaret Flowers.

He was a member of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

He leaves to cherish fond memories two sons, Donnell (Jackie) Stewart of Edwards and Stanley (Nicole) Stewart of Southaven; one daughter, Betty Stewart Stevens of Vicksburg; brothers, Jeff Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Jesse Johnson; and sister, Jeanette Johnson, all of Los Angeles; numerous grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Rock of Ages M.B. Church with the Rev. Dr. Michael Reed Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
