Police investigating break-ins, robberies

Firearms and jewelry were among the items reported stolen Saturday about 4:15 p.m. from a home in the 100 block of Pemberton Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

She said a Rolex watch and gold chain with a total value of $5,200 were taken, along with two handguns, a Ruger .357-caliber magnum valued at $600, a .38-caliber Smith&Wesson valued at $300, and a 20-gauge shotgun valued at $200.

In other burglaries:

4 A motorcycle, generator, four Craftsman tool boxes with tools, two speakers, two chainsaws, car ramps, a jack, “Richard Petty Collection,” and other items with a total value of from $18,000 to $20,000 were reported stolen March 23 from a storage area at Wisconsin Avenue Mini Storage, 3434 Wisconsin Ave.

4 A Dooney & Bourke purse was reported stolen Sunday about 7:30 p.m. from a car parked in the 3100 block of Washington Street.
