“The four matches we won weren’t very close, and we’ve been waiting on our boys doubles to be the success they were today,” Warren Central coach Jeff Pilgrim said. “I think our team has been continually getting better, but today looked like a big jump forward.”

The Vikings improved to 7-0 in the first of four matches this week. They’ll host Vicksburg Thursday and Grenada Friday, both at 4 p.m. On Saturday they’ll play against Vicksburg, St. Aloysius and Madison-St. Joseph in the annual Julie Abraham Memorial Tournament beginning at 9 a.m. All three matches are at Halls Ferry Park.
