Jonathan Lee Murphy Sr. passed away Monday, April 3, at his residence.  He was 33.  He was a member of the Porter’s Chapel M. B. Church and a 2001 graduate of Vicksburg High School.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8, at Porter’s Chapel M.B. Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Manny Murphy officiating.

Interment will follow at Porter’s Chapel Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Faye Crawford; his father, John Amos Murphy; and his grandfather, Pollis Crawford.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Lee Murphy Jr. of Hattiesburg; his sister, LaShounda Crawford of Bedford, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Rose Mae Crawford of Vicksburg; paternal grandmother, Willie Mae Murphy of Vicksburg; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and others.
