“It was totally involved through the roof upon arrival,” Deputy fire chief Craig Danczyk said. He said law enforcement was first on the scene.

Ladder 14 from the Central Fire Station was the first fire truck on the scene. Engine 6 from Cherry Street Fire Station was the first pumper to arrive and begin attacking the fire. Engine 7 from Washington St. also helped battle the fire.

“There was nobody home because it was vacant and no utilities to it,” Danczyk said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined and will be investigated by Lt. Nathanael Williams.

Danczyk said that the fire was fully extinguished and no other structures were involved.
