Bertha Diann Blackmore passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at her home following a sudden illness.  She was 62. 

She was a homemaker and member of the Locust Grove M.B. Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Banks Sr. and Susie Anna Blackmore; her brothers, Albert Blackmore, James Blackmore and Leon Blackmore; and her sisters, Rosie Lee Blackmore and Betty Jean Blackmore.

She is survived by her two sons, Demetric Blackmore Sr. and Alonzo Blackmore Sr., both of Vicksburg; her daughter, Regina Blackmore-Frank of Vicksburg; her brother, Ellis Blackmore Sr. of Las Vegas; her four sisters, Josephine Williams and Carolyn Williams, both of Sacramento, Calif., Mary Tyler and Linda Briscoe, both of Vicksburg.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, at Greater Grove Street M. B. Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Briscoe officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday at the Funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.
