INDIANAOLA—David Lynn McCaskill of Indianola died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Ozark Island Hunting and Fishing Club in Merigold. He was 53.

He was born May 6, 1953 in New Orleans  and was the son of John and Louise Dykes McCaskill. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Indianola, and was a member of Ozark Island Hunting and Fishing Club.

He enjoyed fishing and talking to people. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Hamilton McCaskill.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Louise Dykes McCaskill of Indianola; two brothers, John Alan (Carmen) McCaskill of Sunflower and Brian (Kristen) Hamilton McCaskill of Starkville; and four nieces, Madison, Meredith, Anna Hartley and Katherine.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 9, from 1:30 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service at First United Methodist Church in Indianola.

Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery.
