Dorothy Lee Dudley died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home.  She was 85.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 13, with chapel service starting afterwards at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd., in Jackson. 

Graveside services will follow immediately after at Lakewood Memorial Park.

She was a native of Vicksburg and a long time resident of Clinton.  She was an active member of Clinton Genealogy and Historical Society as well as many other clubs and organizations.

She was one of the charter members and served in every office of the Mississippi National Guard NCO Auxiliary, where she received numerous awards and commendations, and was the first person to ever be presented the coveted Silver Magnolia Award from the Mississippi Army National Guard.

She was loved by so many for her selfless service to family, friends, community and our nation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Dudley; parents, Albert Lehan and Virginia Logue Hoxie; and her sister, Virginia Hoxie Mobley.

Survivors include her sons, Charles L. Dudley (Sandi) of San Antonio, Thomas L. Dudley Jr. (Shinita) of Clinton and Daniel R. Dudley (Rhonda) of Rankin County; daughters, Cynthia D. Spruill (Jerry) of Richland and Jean D. Hill (Bill) of Brandon; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert Hoxie Jr. of Hernando and Rip Hoxie of Vicksburg; sisters, Jean Hoxie Todd of Monroe, La., and Linda Hoxie Powell of Long Beach.

Pall Bearers are Carlos Caldera, Dan Dudley, Ben Hill, David Hill, Marty Puckett, Joey Spruill, Jason Spruill and Jeremy Luther.
