Faye Marie Gaines died Wednesday, May 10, 2017.  She was 84. 

Born in Brookhaven, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew Kitchens and Nellie Melville Kitchens.  She was a former resident of Birmingham, Ala., moving to Vicksburg in 1967. She retired from the Corps of Engineers as a paralegal with 23 years of service.

She was a member of the Bovina United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Gaines; two sons, Robert Melville Gaines and William Jeffrey Gaines; and three grandchildren, Robert Bennett Gaines, Addison Gaines and Aubree Gaines.

She was preceded in death by William C. Gaines.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Bovina United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Evans and the Rev. Libby Piazza officiating. 

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.

Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven.
