Both westbound lanes of Interstate 20 were backed up early Wednesday morning when an 18-wheeler and a concrete mixer collided near the Bovina exit about 6:34 a.m.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Eric Henry said an investigation into the wreck indicatd the 18-wheeler rear-ended the cement truck owned by MMC Materials of Jackson, causing both trucks to overturn, blocking the highway. Neither of the drivers were injured, Henry said.
According to information from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, authorities were able to open one lane of traffic about 8:45 a.m.
