Lauren A. Burks-Wildee departed this life Thursday, May 11, 2017, in her home in Vicksburg. 

She was employed at the U.S Army Corps of Engineers.

She was preceded in eternal life by her parents, Earla B. and Annie Mae Burks; grandparents, Clifford Burks, Fannie Ross, Eli Mixon and Alma Polk.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Andrew L. Wildee Sr.; stepson, Andrew Wildee Jr.; step-grandson, Andrew Wildee III; five brothers, Von Mixon Sr. (Clinsteen), Eric Burks, Gerald Burks (Dominie), Patrick Burks, all of Vicksburg and Channing Burks of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Pamela Bell (Eddie) Monica Burks and Ava Burks, all of Vicksburg; uncle, Larry Mitchell; aunt, Vella Wash, both of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Green officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 2 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
