Linda Newman Patterson

Linda Newman Patterson lost her lengthy battle with cancer and went to join her son in heaven Wednesday, May 17, 2017.  She was 64. 

She was born in Natchez and had been a resident of Vicksburg for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Beard and Quennie Losch.  She was a graduate of Warren Central High School.  She retired in 2015 after more than 30 years of service with the United States Postal Service.  She was a member of Cross Point Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth “Kenny” Patterson II.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Patterson;  son, Brian Patterson (Lareina) of Vicksburg; four grandchildren, Mason Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Miracle Patterson and Kenneth “Trip” Patterson III.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. LaDon Dawson, pastor of Cross Point Church officiating. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. 

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Victor Simmons, Mason Patterson, Norman Purvis, Joey Griffith, James Hull and John Gamberi.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Martin Newcomb and the staff of Jackson Oncology Clinic.
