Margaret Ann Balzli passed away at her home in Metairie, La., Monday, May 15, 2017.

She was born April 9, 1950, to Joseph Thomas Balzli and Mary Margaret Chatham Balzli in Vicksburg. She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School graduating in 1968.  She attended Mississippi State University and Delta State University. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and was based in Chicago, Ill., and later in New Orleans. She later worked in a law firm and as a patient care representative in a New Orleans hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Chatham Balzli Rula of Meridian; her brother, Dr. Joseph Thomas (Marsha) Balzli Jr. of Marion; nephew, Dr. Blake Balzli (Miriam) of Starkville; nieces, Laura B. Little (Dr. Reggie) of Starkville and Sarah B. Joly (Chris) of Nashville, Tenn.; four great-nephews; and five great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Thomas Balzli Sr.

Graveside services will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery Friday, May 19, at 2 p.m. with Father Tom Lalor of St. Paul’s Catholic Church officiating.
