Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. announced at 11 a.m. Wednesday that the boil water notice for the city of Vicksburg has been lifted.

The Mississippi Department of Health approved the lifting after successful tests since water was restored over the weekend.

The lifting only affects those in the city of Vicksburg. As of right now, the boil water over the Culkin Water District remains.
