Gay Marie Weaver died Monday, May 29, 2017, at Merit Health River Region. She was 79.

She was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She loved her children and grandchildren and was very kind hearted.  She loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gayle and Mary Etta Ainsworth; her husband, Judge Weaver; sons, Jerry Glen Kirkley and Derrolld Dean Kirkley; and sisters, Ethel Mullen, Shirley Woodham and Edna Harris.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Gail Saltzman (Keith) of Vicksburg; her son, Arch Milton Kirkley (Shannon) of Vicksburg; sister, Daisy Griffin of Vicksburg; brothers, Robert Ainsworth of Tallulah, La. and Donald Ainsworth of Vicksburg; step-son, Sam Weaver of Mansfield, La.; and stepdaughter, Judy Kalifia of San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Hennis, Billy Griffin, Jay Cooper, Rodney Allen, Sam Weaver, Dalton Kirkley, Cecil Hollowell, Thomas Hollowell and Russell Hollowell.
