ARCADIA, La. — Kitty Jeffers passed away June 13, 2017. She was 72.

She was born in Vicksburg June 19, 1944.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Mary Elizabeth Yancy; five siblings who died at birth; and one brother, Hershel Yancy, who died at seven.

She was the seventh child and believed God let her live because seven is his number.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of faith and love, her husband of 57 years, Frank Jeffers; four children, Cynthia Ann (Rick) Finley of Dubach, La., Virginia (Mike) Sanderson of Choudrant, La., Joseph Wayne (Darlene) Jeffers of Arcadia, La. and Trenna Renee Howell of Arcadia; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at the First Pentecostal Church of Arcadia.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Interment will follow at Simsboro Cemetery.
