TALLULAH — Andrew ‘Nick’ Hendon Sr. of Tallulah, La., passed away June 17, 2017. He was 84.

He was preceded in death by three children, Andrew Hendon Jr., Sherria Hendon Clerk and Christopher E. Hendon; and three grandchildren, Gregory, Marquis and Rodrick.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Hendon; three daughters, Glenda Hendon, Linda (David) Tyson and Regina (Anthony) Toney; two sons, Michael B. (Ora Jean) Hendon and Clifton C. Hendon; 20 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, niece, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at St. James AME Zion Church, 510 Wyche St., in Tallulah.

Visitation will be Friday at Beckwith Golden Gate Funeral home in Tallulah from 2 to 6 p.m. and again Saturday at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
