Funeral services for Fred Albert Mace Sr. will be Thursday, July 13,  at the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating. Interment shall follow at Christian Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mr. Mace passed away Tuesday, July 11, at Merit Health River Region.  He was 83.  He was a retired farm hand. He was a member of the Christian Home #1 M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford B. and Corniel Carson Warfield; his wife, Sara Mace; his son, Fred A. Mace Jr.; and his daughter, Frances Claxton. 

He is survived by his son, Thomas Mace of Vicksburg; his daughter, Mary Mace Benson of Brandon; and a host of brothers and sisters;  11 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
