Carl Willis “Duck” Emerson of Port Gibson passed away Friday, July 14, 2017, at his home. He was 72.
Willis was the son of Early Ealon Emerson Sr. and Mary Kate Willis Anderson. He was a retired employee of Marathon LeTourneau with over 44 years of service.
Willis was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen Ann Emerson; brothers, Anderson Emerson and Early Ealon Emerson Jr.
He is survived by his son, John Carl Emerson (Amy) of Clinton; and his daughter, Jennifer Leigh Page (Jerry) of Carthage; 10 grandchildren; brothers, L.T. Emerson and Ray Emerson, both of Vicksburg; and a brother-in-law, John B. Wright Jr.
Services will be at noon on Tuesday, July 18, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Bert Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 1052 Shiloh Road, Port Gibson, MS, 39150.
