One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the hand during a shooting at LD’s Kitchen on Mulberry Street in downtown Vicksburg Friday morning.

Vicksburg Police Capt. Sandra Williams said the victim has been identified as Jeremaih Rose, but she was unsure if he was treated and released or still in the hospital.

Williams said the shooting was reported around 2:30 a.m. and a car with “a number of bullet holes” was found at the scene, but they are unsure how many rounds were fired.

“We have information that it was not a disturbance inside the club,” Williams said. “Once people were beginning to leave, gunshots were heard. So far we were not able to tell who the target was or where the gunshots came from.”

Williams said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
