A Vicksburg man will serve 520 days in prison after pleading guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Circuit Judge M. James Chaney initially sentenced Johnathan Eugene Meadows to a total of 15 years on both counts with the balance to be suspended after Meadows completes five years’ post-release supervision. The 520-day sentences will be served concurrently, meaning they will be served together.

Meadows was also ordered to pay $2,084.50 in fines, court costs and restitution.

In other cases:

• Chaney revoked the suspended sentence of Tommy Lee Holt. Holt was originally sentenced in 2008 to 10 years with five years to serve and five suspended following completion of five years’ post release supervision.

His full sentence was restored with credit for time served because he violated the terms of his post-release supervision.

• Elliott Ryan Reed, 25, was sentenced to 90 days in a Mississippi Department of Corrections technical violations center after he violated the terms of his post release supervision by failing to report to his parole officer, failing to pay $495 in supervision fees to the MDOC and failing to pay $5,684.50 in fines, fees and assessments.  Reed was initially sentenced on a charge of sale of cocaine.

• Chaney revoked the post release supervision for Christopher Shawn Smith, 39, on two charges, possession of methamphetamine and failure to register as a child molester.

The judge ruled he violated his post-release supervision for failing to report to his parole officer, failing to pay $352 in supervision fees, and fines and fees assessed by the court.

Smith was initially sentenced on the drug charge to five years with three to serve and two suspended pending completion of five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $1,684.50 in fines and fees. He received an identical sentence on the charge of failing to register.

He was sentenced to 90 days in an MDOC technical violation center and will return to post-release supervision after he completes the sentence.

• Kenneth Lee Jackson, 40, received a suspended six-month jail sentence upon condition of good behavior for six years and ordered to pay $910.75 in fines, fees and court costs.
