Beverly Ann Ellis

Beverly Ann Ellis died Monday, July 24, 2017, at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg.  She was 80.

She was born in Kansas City, Kan.  She was the daughter of Roy Grant Gee and Helen Klausen Gee.  She had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1976.  She was a nurse anesthetist for River Region Health System, retiring in 2002.  She was a very active member of Crossway Church.  She also served as president of the National Nurses Association.  She was past president of the Campers on Mission and served as a volunteer for the Cancer Center and The Salvation Army.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by a sister, Krista Odgen.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Ellis; two sons, Dan Ellis (Kathy) of Utica and Jon Ellis (Patsy) of Delta, La.; two daughters, Barbara Emerson (Don) of Franklin, Tenn., and Anne Huskey (Barney) of Terry; six grandchildren, Kyle Huskey, Eric Huskey, David Emerson, Andrew Emerson, Casey Ellis and Kristen Ellis Turnbow; two sisters, Cheri Combee and Karen Montes, both of California; a brother, Gary Gee of California; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Crossway Church with the Rev. Terry White and the Rev. Dickie Bryan officiating.    

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. 

Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Her family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Youth Building Fund, C/O Crossway Church, 1825 Highway 61 South, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
