A Warren County man was injured Saturday afternoon when the four-wheeler he was riding collided with a pickup truck on Dogwood Road, 1 mile east of U.S. 61 South, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

He said Timothy Wright, 20, whose address was given as U.S. 61 South, was taken by Vicksburg Fire Department ambulance to the Vicksburg Municipal Airport where he was flown by AirCare helicopter to University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was in good condition, a hospital spokesperson said.

The wreck occurred about 1:15 p.m.

Pace said Wright was driving a Polaris RVR 1000 four-wheeler westbound on Dogwood Road, when he went into a curve, lost control and went into the eastbound lane where he collided with the side of the eastbound 2001 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Sydney Case, 26, of Campbell Swamp Road.

He said no citations have been issued at this time and the wreck is under investigation.

The sheriff said people need to remember that four-wheelers are not made for driving on public roads. “These are off-road vehicles and should to be driven off-road, not on public roads,” he said.
