James Michael Feltman

James Michael Feltman, Vicksburg resident, native of Kentwood, La., went home to be with his Lord Aug. 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 64.

Mike was born July 18, 1953, in Magnolia.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his loving heart and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed. He had been involved in the food and beverage industry for 40 plus years. Most recently, he worked at Waterview Casino as Director of Non-Gaming Operations, as well as John Folse’s White Oak Plantation as general manager.

He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate, Shelly Travis Feltman; his two daughters, Michelle Babin Alcido (Jim) and Kelly Travis Hamilton (Danny); godson, Alex Aschenbrenner; sister, Kathy Feltman; grandchildren, Joseph Alcido, Thomas Alcido and Jaelyn Wilkinson; two uncles, Gail Feltman (Connie) and Jack McDaniel (Georgene); father and mother-in-law, Charles and Emily Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Dorchelle Ensign (Horace); brothers-in-law, Kenneth Martin (RhondaJo), Milton Berthelot (Sandy) and Jonas Martin (Amy); cousins; and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Feltman; mother, Betty Ann McDaniel Feltman; and brothers, William David McDaniel and Kenneth Russell Feltman.

Mass services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at St. Michael’s church in Vicksburg. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

A second service will be Friday, Aug. 11, in Kentwood at McKneely’s funeral home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon with services immediately following.

Internment will be at Tangipahoa Cemetery in Tangipahoa, La.
