Sarah Winter Tuttle

Sarah Winter Tuttle passed from this life to her heavenly home Aug. 7, 2017. She was 78. She was born in Tunica to J.T. and Monette Winter.

While attending Northwest Mississippi Community College, she met and eventually married the love of her life, James Robert Tuttle. She and her family moved to Vicksburg in 1968. She raised her family and had a career in the health care field as a medical billing clerk for the Vicksburg Hospital and Rasch Chiropractic Clinic. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she served as a church pianist and a Sunday School teacher. She received her greatest joys golfing and traveling with her husband, visiting and being with her children and grandchildren and attending and serving God with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tuttle; her father; mother; and sister, Charlotte Bennett.

She is survived by her three children, Teresa K Bailey (Ron) of Chelsea, O., James M. Tuttle (Meg) of Cleveland and Stephen L Tuttle of Brandon; one sibling, Nina Rikard of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Many nieces and nephews will also miss their Aunt Sarah.

Sarah and James will also be missed by so many others whose lives were touched by their many selfless acts of kindness.

Services will be noon Thursday, Aug. 10, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Brian Ivey.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dustin Lusby, Nathan Lusby, Jimbo Lusby, Peyton Tuttle, Jeff Tuttle and Pat Rikard.
