UTICA — Charlotte L. Jordy died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at her home in Utica. She was 82.

Born in Houston, Texas, she had been a resident in the Utica area for 46 years. She was a homemaker and mother of three. She volunteered with Utica Consolidated School sports activities and enjoyed playing cards, working in ceramics and going out dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Jordy; her parents, Jewel and Louis Gilpin; and her brother, Clayton Gilpin.

She is survived by her sons, James Jordy of Arecibo, Puerto Rico and Richard Jordy of Raymond; her daughter, Cheryl Jordy of Utica; her sister, Dianne Wiedeman; three grandchildren, Nicole Jordy of Joplin, Mo., Jacobi Jordy of Raymond and Sabrina Fomby of Utica; and one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Fomby of Utica.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Utica.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.

Burial will follow at the Utica Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Jordy, Paul Bivins, Clay McPherson, Rob Wiedeman, Tom Vaught and Stephane Jeanne.

Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Conklin and Randy Cessna.
