NEWTON — Albert Wood Jr., 85, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Bedford Care of Marion.

His proudest accomplishment was his ten children and large family.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Agnes Theresa Wood; and children, James Wood “Larry” (Becky), John Wood (Bonnie), Linda McConnell (Pat), Robert Wood, Patricia Matthews (Jeff), Mary Anderson (Shawn), Susan Savage (David), Chris Wood (Kim) and Alan Wood (Stephanie); 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Wood, Jack Wood and James Wood; son, Michael Wood; and daughter-in-law, Pam Wood. 

A Funeral Mass will begin Monday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Meridian.

Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the MS Veterans Cemetery in Newton with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
