Janet Sue Peay Holmes, Utica resident, passed away Aug. 14, 2017. She was 59.
She was born in Maben and came to the Delta in the late 70’s, where she worked for a time at the Bank of Anguilla. She worked for Sojananx in Blanton and Bunge Corp. in Vicksburg. She moved with her family to Utica after leaving Bunge. She worked for a time at BancorpSouth and also as a bookkeeper for Hubbard Truck Stop in Utica. She loved the outdoors and loved to fish.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Wayne Peay; and her special friend, Robert “Bob” Miller.
She is survived by her son, Henry Isaac (Tara) Holmes of Utica; her daughter, Angela McKee (Aubrey) Clarke of Starkville; father, Jesse Aubrey Peay of Cary; mother, Hilda F. Peay of Cary; brothers, Michael Eugene (Gail) Peay of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Charles Anthony (Tony) Peay of Cary; sister, Robbie Lynn (Dave) Peay Duncan of Shaw; sister-in-law, Theresa (Kenneth) Peay Dill of Pheba; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Danielle Clarke of Starkville and Cameron Holden Holmes of Utica.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg.
Burial will follow at Cayuga Cemetery in Utica.
Visitation was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Vicksburg. The Rev. Johnnie Sanders will be doing the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dave Duncan, Tony Peay, Isaac Holmes, Aubrey Clarke, Josh Earls and Chris Peay.
