Ethel Marie Harris passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, at her home following a brief illness.  She was 49. 

She had been a member of Mount Pisgah M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Leon and Jennie Reeves Harris Sr.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Brooks of Las Vegas; daughter, Jennifer Ashley of Vicksburg; brother, Charles Leon Harris Jr. of Chalmette, Ga.; and her three sisters, Regina Harris-Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Cecelia Harris and Christine Harris-Cosby, both of Vicksburg.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday, Aug. 19, at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
