A Vicksburg man has been sentenced to four years in prison after having his post-release supervision revoked for failing to follow the conditions required under the program.

Circuit Judge M. James Chaney sentenced Teremiah Shaquille Cox, 22, no address listed, to five years in prison with four years to serve and one year suspended following completion of one-year post-release supervision.

Cox was arrested in July 2015 for shooting into a vehicle on Mission 66 after arguing with two men in the vehicle. The vehicle was struck at least three times by bullets from a large caliber weapon, but no one was wounded.

Chaney initially sentenced Cox to five years in prison with five years suspended upon completing 60-months’ post-release supervision and ordered him to pay $2,884.50 in fines, court costs and fees.

In other cases:

• Harresha Laha Pam, 25, no address listed, was sentenced to eight years in prison with credit for time served after Chaney revoked her probation for not complying with the terms of her supervised probation by failing to report to her probation officer, failing to pay supervision fees, and failing to pay $3,552 in court-ordered fines, fees and costs.

Pam, who pleaded guilty in January 2014 to receiving stolen property, was initially placed on 48 months probation.

• Raymond Guin received a suspended four-year sentence to run concurrent with an eight-month sentence after Chaney revoked his probation for not complying with the conditions of his probation by failing to report to his probation officer, failing to pay supervision fees and committing new crimes.

Guin was initially sentenced in 2012 to serve 30 days of a four-year sentence for aggravated assault of a police officer. The remainder of the sentence was suspended for four years.

The suspended sentence was revoked in May 2013, and he was sentenced to four years with 16 days to serve and then returned to his probation.

He is presently serving an eight-month sentence for gratification/lust involving a case in Rankin County.
