Collins leads Tallulah to rout of Kemper

Tallulah Academy began its quest for a three-peat in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools’ 8-man football division by crushing Kemper Academy 50-8 on Friday night.

Joshua Collins accounted for 355 total yards and six touchdowns as the Trojans won for the 26th time in 29 games since moving to the 8-man division in 2014. They have won the last two MAIS 8-man championships and also played for the title in 2014.

Collins ran the ball eight times for 222 yards and three touchdowns Friday night, and caught four passes for 133 yards and three more scores.

Parker Kivett was 8-of-14 passing for 164 yards and the three TDs.

Carter Sullivan finished with 43 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also had a fumble recovery on defense.
Tallulah will host Delta Academy next Friday at 7 p.m.
