Two Warren County Sheriff’s cars blocked the entrances to Warren Central High School as students and staff evacuated the school Thursday morning following the second bomb threat in two days at a Vicksburg Warren School District high school.

A day after Vicksburg High School was forced to go through a full evacuation due to a bomb threat, Warren Central received a similar threat at 8:44 a.m. Thursday.

VWSD spokesperson Christi Killroy said the school’s office received a call warning of a bomb leading to a full evacuation of the school.

Killroy said after the call was received, the school implemented its crisis response plan and contacted E911, which dispatched Warren County Sheriff’s officers to the school to assist.

The all clear was given at 9:27 a.m. after the building was deemed safe and Killroy said the “process went smoothly and all students are back in class.”

The threat will be investigated by the Warren County Sheriff’s office.
