A complaint to Vicksburg police about drug activity at an area hotel Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of a Vicksburg man on drug charges, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

Jason Jobe, 30, 114 North St., is charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested about 6:45 a.m. by the Vicksburg Police Department’s NET/Narcotic unit and Mississippi Bureau Narcotics agents in a room at American Best Value Inn, 185 Warrenton Road.

The arrest came after police and agents served a search warrant on the room after an investigation into the drug complaint. Edwards said officers recovered methamphetamine and drug related items from the room.
