Funeral services for Rosemary Shelby Johnson will be Saturday, Sept. 2, at Mount Zion M. B. Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Ms. Johnson passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, at Merit Health River Region after a brief illness. She was 68.  

She was a retired cook for Trace Haven Nursing Home, and was a member of the King David No. 2 M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Rosie Caldwell Shelby; her sister, Betty Shelby; and her brother, Nick Caldwell.

She is survived by her four daughters, Veronica Johnson, Willette Johnson, Belinda Johnson and Belinda (Andre) Voss, all of Vicksburg; her two sisters, Barbara McGloster and Charlie Mae Williams, both of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
