Bruce J. Kilburn

Bruce J. Kilburn died Thursday, Sept. 7, at his home in Redwood.  He was 64. 

Mr.  Kilburn was born in Lepanto, Ark. to the late Paul M. and Maxine Morgan Kilburn.

He had been a resident of Warren County for most of his adult life and was a retired farmer. Mr. Kilburn was an active hunter and fisherman. He also had a passion for horses and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Kilburn is survived by his sons, Jacob Paul Kilburn (Jennifer) of Madison and James Matthew Kilburn of Vicksburg; his daughter, Lee Anna Lyons (Allen) of Vicksburg; his grandchildren, Slade Lyons, Adelyn Lyons, and Anna Layne Lyons; and his sister, Lisa Beth Kilburn Barnette (Tim) of Valley Park.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Riles Funeral Home.

Services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. T.J. Tennison of Crossway Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Jacob Kilburn, Allen Lyons, Bryan Bridges, Lee Harvey, Jeff Averett, Bryan Williamson, Slade Lyons and Karl Kolb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sherwood Lyons, Tony Kolb, Jimmy Gouras, George Ameen, Patrick Vinzant, Bubba Daigre, Tim Barnette and Johnny Rowan. 

In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials be made to the “Reaching Tomorrow Today” –Student Facility Campaign, C/O Crossway Church, 1825 Highway 61 South, Vicksburg, MS  39180.
