Buys set for finale at Miss America pageant

The 2018 Miss America Pageant competition concluded the preliminary rounds of competition last night in Atlantic City.

Each of the 51 contestants competed in a private judges’ interview, swimwear, talent, eveningwear and on-stage questions.

Miss Mississippi Anne Elizabeth Buys’ private judges’ interview was conducted Wednesday and that night she competed in swimwear.

On Thursday, the Vicksburg resident and former Miss Vicksburg competed in the talent portion of the competition and on the final night of the preliminary rounds she competed in eveningwear and onstage question.

Tonight the Miss America “Show Us Your Shoes Parade” will take place on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The parade will begin at New Jersey Avenue and end at Albany Avenue.

The final night of competition and crowning is set to begin at 8 p.m. Sunday and will air live on ABC.

Celebrity judges for the final night of competition are Ciara, Mark Cuban, Gabby Douglas, Sara Foster, Laura Marano, Cole Swindell and Miss America 1985 Sharlene Wells Hawkes.
