The Retired Education Personnel Vicksburg Warren County’s annual fall meeting will take place Monday at 1 p.m. in the auditorium at the Hinds Vicksburg campus.

“It is all retired employees, which is your teachers, administrators, staff members, custodial, bus drivers, it takes in anyone who retired from the education field,” Lucy Young, who is on the health committee said. 

The meeting will begin with a business meeting during which the new officers will be elected and the Retiree of the Year will be announced. Immediately after the business meeting, the Retired Education Personnel Vicksburg Warren County will host a health fair. Students and instructors from the Hinds nursing program will be at the fair checking vital signs. There will also be a wide range of vendors providing valuable health related information including United Way, Merit Health, AARP, Austin Family Dental, Vicksburg Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Deptartment community outreach, Community Council, Vicksburg Volunteers, Promise nutrition specialist, as well as exercise and fitness opportunities available in Vicksburg.

Young said members will also be able to pay their dues and sign up for the luncheon during the health fair.
