EDWARDS — Michael Lance Tompkins, 49, of Edwards passed away at home on Sept. 11, 2017.

Lance was born April 23, 1968, in Jackson. As a native of Vicksburg, he graduated from Warren Central High School in 1986 and went on to graduate from Delta State University in Cleveland with a BCA in commercial aviation.

Lance is survived by his wife, Mitzi; sons Mahlon, Jacob and Nathan Tompkins; his parents, John and Sarah Ann Tompkins; brother, Shane Tompkins (Julie) of Columbus; sister, Jennifer Normand (David) of Vicksburg; five nieces; four nephews and a host of family that he loved dearly.

Lance will be remembered for his smile and laughter, his selflessness and generosity, his devotion, strength and courage, but most of all his inexhaustible love.

His greatest treasures in this life were his wife, children and family. He will be profoundly missed by all.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Edwards.
