A few days after finishing second at the MAIS Overall state meet, the St. Aloysius swim team returned to the pool with a strong encore performance.

The team of Tommy Martin, Adam Eckstein, Connor Clark and Jacob Waisner won the 200-yard freestyle relay and finished second in the 200 medley relay to lead the Flashes to a second-place team finish at the season-ending St. Joe Invitational Saturday in Madison.

The Flashes totaled 94 points, just 1 1/2 points ahead of third-place Madison-St. Joseph. Madison Central had 119 points to win the boys’ meet.

St. Al finished fourth in the girls’ meet, with 51 points. Madison Central won with 172 points, and was followed by Madison-St. Joe (101) and Saint Andrews (94).
