Funeral services for Willie Earl Jackson will be Saturday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reginald Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m. 

Mr. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at his home following a sudden illness. He was 69. He had worked for the Batesville Casket Co., and was a member of Bright Morning Star M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jonas Jones; his mother, Rosie Lee Jackson; and his sons, Michael Earl Jackson and Kenneth Fultz.

He is survived by his two sons, Melvin Jackson and Willie E. Jackson Jr., both of Vicksburg; his three daughters, Tangela Gibbs and Angela Turner both of Vicksburg and Regina Jackson of Boling Brook, Ill.; his two brothers, Melvin Jackson and Gregory Taylor, both of Vicksburg, seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
