Man charged with aggravated domestic assault on girlfriend

A Vicksburg man faces aggravated domestic assault charges after he reportedly struck his girlfriend with a car at Whataburger, 3402 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

Kenneth Lee Jackson Jr. 19, 110 South Drive, was arrested about 10:21 p.m. Wednesday in the 4100 block of I-20 South Frontage Road. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

The girl, who was not identified, was treated at Merit Health River Region and released.

According to police reports, Jackson was driving a 2017 Nissan Altima and jumped the curb at the restaurant, hitting the girl in the knees. She fell and managed to roll and escape. Jackson then left the area.
