VPD looks for felony fleeing suspect

Vicksburg police are looking for a man who ran from officers attempting a traffic stop Sunday, Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.
He said officers attempted to stop a white 1997 Cadillac El Dorado about 7:18 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Mission 66 and Clay Street. The driver of the car drove off starting a chase that ended when the man stopped the car at the corner of Porters Chapel Road and Enchanted Drive and fled on foot.
Edwards said no arrest was made, and a warrant has been issued for the man for felony eluding.
In another case, Charles Anthony Upshire, 51, 1200 Second North St., was arrested Sunday about 11:53 p.m. for fourth-offense DUI after a traffic stop at the intersection of North Washington and Haining Road for speeding. He was also charged with having no proof of insurance.
In other cases:
• Riley James Hutto, 23, 735 Joyce Lane, was arrested Saturday at the intersection of Cherry and Belmont streets on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
• Kerion Jacory Jones, 25, 208 Meadowvale Drive, was arrested about 11:57 p.m. Monday at his home on a charge of third-offense domestic violence.
• A 1995 Ford F-350 dual wheel pickup was reported taken about 2:06 a.m. from the parking lot of the Ameristar Casino, 2116 Washington St.
• A counterfeit $20 bill was reported passed about 11:12 p.m. Monday at the Lady Luke Casino, 1380 Warrenton Road.
• Shots were reported fired about 11 p.m. Sunday at Waltersville Estates.
• An Xbox and controller were reported taken about 1:14 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Clay Street.
• A silver 2007 Chrysler 300 were reported taken Friday from the 2700 block Drummond Street. It was recovered Saturday at the intersection of South and Farmer streets.
• Ashton Terrell Lyons, 29, 1900 Baldwin Ferry Road, was arrested about 8:04 a.m. Friday on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant charging him with probation violation. He was also charged with simple assault.
• A 2000 GMC Yukon was reported taken about 4:56 a.m. Friday from the intersection of Marshall and Harrison streets.
Police made the following arrests between Friday and Monday:
• Jarvis Len Holmes, 28, 5210 U.S. 61 South, was arrested about 8:57 Monday on in the 4100 block of South Frontage Road on six counts of contempt of court.
• Chelsea Audrianun King, 22, 25 Eastover Drive, was arrested about 12:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Mission 66 and Clay Street on a charge of first-offense shoplifting. She was also served with three warrants.
• A warrant was served Sunday on Jonathan Hyder, 37, 320 Fisher Ferry Road.
• Charles Herron Williams, 51, 8688 Mississippi 3, Redwood, was arrested about 9:02 p.m. Sunday on Springridge Road on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
• A warrant was served Sunday on Falisa Ann Lewis, 42, 224 Hillside Drive.
• Jamaal Kavar Bradley, 35, 2705 Drummond St., was arrested about 1:23 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Iowa Street on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
• Angela Mxine Beard, 44, 160 Calvin Road, was arrested about 11:29 a.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of U.S. 61 South on a charge of second-offense shoplifting.
• Heaven Leigh Brewer, 19, 1825 Edna Drive, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Cherry Street on a charge of contempt of court.
• Warrants were served Saturday on Joshua Irvin Lieberman, 19, 1825 Edna Drive.
• Warrants were served Saturday on Christopher Donnell Moore, 32, 2614 Roosevelt St.
• Frances Nicholas Patton, 34, 112 Hillside Drive, was arrested about 12:14 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Hillside Drive on a charge of second-offense domestic violence.
• Warrants were served Saturday on Tameka Lannette Graise, 39, 128 Alcorn Drive.
• A warrant was served Saturday on Danny Lee Yates, 60, 527 Dabney Drive.
• Chris Jones, 27, 101 Day St., Rolling Fork, was arrested about 12:55 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Washington and China streets, on charges of first-offense DUI, seatbelt violation, expired car tag and driving with a suspended license.
• Derrick Anthony Parker, 37,1121 Moody St., Jackson, was arrested about 12:18 a.m. Saturday on a charge of contempt of court.
• A warrant was served Friday on Michael Franklin Clark, 39, 455 Mount Alban Road.
• Larry Lee Blackmore Sr., 46, 1281 South Frontage Road, was arrested about 7:07 p.m. Friday on charges of first-offense DUI, improper lane usage and driving with a suspended license.
