VHS archery wins
Elijah Knight posted a score of 267 as Vicksburg High’s archery team beat Richland 3,019 to 2,498 on Monday.
Thomas Dwiggins scored 265 points for the VHS boys’ team, while David White scored 264 and Austen Ware totaled 259 points. For the VHS girls, Makayla Williams had a score of 258, Kayla Foster 254, Wendy Oakes 251 and Alicia Louis 232.
Wild Turkey banquet
The Vicksburg Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on March 8, at the Levee Street Warehouse at 1609 Levee St. in Vicksburg.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and dinner starts at 7. Individual tickets are $50, and couples tickets are $80. The NWTF’s Hunting Heritage Banquets raise funds for wild turkey conservation.

WC volleyball tryouts
Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity volleyball team will be held March 29 and 30 at Warren Central High School. All players must have a current physical, parental permission form, residency form and a concussion form and attend both days of the tryouts.
There will be a parents’ meeting for all prospective players on March 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Warren Central library.

VHS volleyball tryouts
Tryouts for Vicksburg High’s volleyball team will be held March 19-21 at Vicksburg Junior High, at 4:30 p.m. each day. The tryouts are for players in grades 6-11. VHS basketball camp
Vicksburg High’s girls basketball team will host a skills camp March 10 at Vicksburg Junior High. The camp is for players in Grades 5-9 and the cost is $30 per player. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a session for players in Grades 5 and 6 at 10 a.m. and another for players in Grades 7-9 at 2 p.m.

Tennis in the Park
The Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Tennis in the Park spring break tennis camp March 12-16 at Halls Ferry Park. The camp is for children ages 5-18 and will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $25 per person.
