Adult kickball league
Registration is now open for the River City Kickball and Social Sports adult kickball season. The league is open to adults 30 years old and over, and is free. The league is sponsored by the City of Vicksburg.

Kings basketball theme days
The Kings Empowerment Center’s youth basketball league will hold several theme days during March.
March 10 will be a parent and family day, where ticketholders get a free soda with any concession stand purchase. On March 17, first responders can receive a free hot dog by showing their badge or ID.
Admission to games is $2. Games begin at 1 p.m. at the Kings Center.
Wild Turkey banquet
The Vicksburg Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Thursday, at the Levee Street Warehouse located at 1609 Levee St. in Vicksburg.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the steak dinner starts at 7. Individual tickets are $50, and couples tickets are $80. The NWTF’s Hunting Heritage Banquets raise funds for wild turkey conservation.

WC volleyball tryouts
Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity volleyball team will be held March 29 and 30 at Warren Central High School. All players must have a current physical, parental permission form, residency form and a concussion form, and attend both days of the tryouts.

VHS volleyball tryouts
Tryouts for Vicksburg High’s volleyball team will be March 19-21 at Vicksburg Junior High, at 4:30 p.m. each day. The tryouts are for players in grades 6-11.
Tryouts for the junior high team will be March 22-23 at 4 p.m. each day.

Tennis in the Park
The Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Tennis in the Park spring break camp March 12-16 at Halls Ferry Park. The camp is for children ages 5-18 and will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $25 per person.

Birdie, Bogey and Boogie
The Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg will host its annual Birdie, Bogey and Boogie for Kids golf tournament on April 6 at Vicksburg Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and the tournament at 1 p.m. The entry fee for the four-person scramble is $400 per team. To register, contact Laura Kidder at 800-221-3536.
