Warren Central’s tennis team collected another win Tuesday, beating Provine 7-0 in a Division 4-6A match.
Elaina Bailey beat Alexandria Husband 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 girls’ singles to get things rolling. The Lady Vikes then added points in No. 2 girls singles with Raven Thompson beating Jasmine Hirt 6-0, 6-2, and Lexi Stewart and Madison Embry winning their doubles match 6-1, 6-0 over Mercedes Jenkins and Christine Wooten.
Provine did not have any boys players, and thus forfeited both of those singles matches, the boys’ doubles match and the mixed doubles match.
The win was Warren Central’s fourth in five matches and improved its record to 5-2. The Vikings will host Pearl Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Halls Ferry Park, and then travel to play Grenada on Friday.
