JACKSON — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a tornado watch until 6 a.m. Saturday for the following locations in the area:

Claiborne, Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren counties.

Catahoula, Concordia and Tensas parishes in Louisiana.

A tornado watch is issued when conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area.
